Overview
The X-PRESS sits after the tunnel washer and removes water from each batch mechanically before the linen goes on to drying. The batch drops through a funnel into a basket, where a hydraulic cylinder lowers an oversized natural rubber membrane onto the linen, and a mechanical pusher then discharges the pressed cake. The PLC offers a selectable pre-press sequence, four pressure stages and 15 pressure programs, with alarm and fault messages on its display.
IMAGE lists the press for 40, 60 and 90 kg batches; the 60 kg model runs on an 11 kW hydraulic unit and weighs about 10.8 tonnes. Sizes differ in height, basket diameter and hydraulics. Medium-pressure and high-pressure versions are offered, discharge can be to the left or right as well as in line, and an extended discharge unit or special voltages can be built on request.
