Overview
The X-POWER is a continuous batch washer for laundries that process linen in volume. After each cycle the batch is pushed along the bottom of the drum to the next compartment, so linen is moved forward without being lifted. Water runs both with and against the linen depending on the zone, and large recovery tanks reuse it, keeping consumption to 6–8 litres per kilogram of dry linen. A PLC with a colour touch screen holds 50 adjustable wash programs.
IMAGE builds the X-POWER for 40, 60 and 90 kg batches; the datasheet details the 60 kg version with 7 to 16 compartments, giving 840 to 1920 kg of linen an hour at a 30-minute wash time. The design runs up to 21 compartments, with stainless-steel inner and outer drums and piping and three chemical connections per compartment. Options include drum insulation, a rapid drain in the lye box, data recording, a printer, pH measurement and extra dosing contacts.
