Overview
The IRI series is a deep-chest flatwork ironer for high-volume commercial, industrial and hospital laundries. Padded rolls press the linen against polished heated chests; each roll has its own gear reducer and suction fan to draw off moisture, and the first chest has faster condensate removal for better thermal efficiency. Roll pressure is set pneumatically, and the rolls lift and lock open if power is lost or the finger guard is touched. The ironer can be linked to a feeder or a folder.
Rolls come in 800, 1200 and 1600 mm diameters with a 3000 mm working width, as one-, two- or three-roll machines (the 1600 mm as a single roll); more rolls raise the top speed, up to 65 m/min on three 1200 mm rolls. The chests are heated by steam at 8.3 to 10.3 bar, or by thermal oil from a gas burner. Options include a four-roll configuration, 3300, 3500 or 4000 mm widths, Nomex padding and a low-pressure alarm.
